Uncanny valley, to the max. The hands...

But, that wouldn't be possible without amazing craftsmanship, so, while I shudder in discomfort, I also take my hat off to you. Congratulations on mastering your craft.

Uncanny valley - very true! Very, very true! Some people call me "the taxidermist", but it's a matter of taste (I prefer ugly stuff) and they look a little different in real life. Thank you for honest comment :D

It wasn't just honest. Mastery of a craft is one of the highest compliments I can give, and it takes a great deal of skill to creep me out.

that's a long time!I'm not even 18,so I can't put in that much time into it.other wise,it might become a paradox.

Some people here are 16 years old and they draw better than most of Russian artists. So time isn't everything, IMHO. My first dolls were very ugly and fragile...

Congratulations on this D.D. as the craftsmanship is very praise worthy. The piece fascinates me as I find it both friendly but also a bit creepy like it comes to life one night to do mischief but for several days leading up to it you hear small squeezebox music coming from somewhere on a shelf in your house.

I use dry pastel and oil for faces and hands, acrylic and watercolor are used to age cloth and decorate bases (that guy doesn't have a base, btw)
